Memorial Service for Shane Colombo, SF BUILD Scholar

"We were devastated to learn of the tragic death of Shane Colombo – a graduate of San Francisco State University who was set to begin his PhD in psychology at Northwestern. At UCSF we are fortunate to partner with San Francisco State University to increase opportunity for promising undergraduates interested in careers in science through the SF BUILD program. Shane was in the first cohort of SF BUILD and inspired all of us with his intelligence, passion, and deep commitment to science and the promise of science to improve the lives in all of our communities. We join his family and friends, teachers and mentors, in grieving the loss of this shining star."
