Gato Ian Gourley is the Center for Vulnerable Populations Manager as well as the Program Manager for CVP’s Program on Health Information Technology and the Safety Net, directed by Dr. Urmimala Sarkar. He has an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz where he graduated with honors in the major. His previous work included work with Medeem, a social enterprise, where he managed development and implementation of software and process solutions for Medeem US and Medeem Ghana. Prior to this, he worked to develop an information management system with local government to support evidence-based decision making for development planning in northern Ghana as a member of the Engineers Without Borders Canada Governance and Rural Infrastructure team. During his university years and the years following, Mr. Gourley has worked with the University Of California Atlas Of Global Inequality, an online atlas mapping global indicators of health and wealth disparities.
