Sanjana Marpadga, MSc, joined the Center for Vulnerable Populations in 2015 after her master’s research project incited a passion for food justice issues and their relationship to chronic disease in low-income communities. She works as a Research Analyst with Dr. Hilary Seligman, supporting projects related to food insecurity, chronic disease, and childhood obesity. Her previous work and education in community-based research has deepened a commitment to alleviating health inequities by promoting prevention and disease management at both the individual and community levels. Sanjana has a BA in Biology from Duke University and a Master’s of Science in Global Health Sciences from UC San Francisco.
