I am physician with a deep and abiding commitment to providing safe, effective patient care. I have been moved by the conceptually simple premise to do no harm, which is violated every day in hospitals around the United States. I embrace the complexity inherent in healthcare systems, but recognize that this complexity complicates the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based strategies to improve healthcare quality. As part of the PRIDE RISE program, I plan to further develop the part of my research agenda focused on sustainably changing healthcare clinician behavior.
