Digital Health Equity

We believe digital approaches are integral to delivering high-quality healthcare and facilitate health behaviors in everyday life. Our goal is to partner with patients, communities, and experts to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate digital approaches that work in safety-net settings and the diverse populations we serve. For more information on the Digital Health Equity program please visit the IgNITE Lab homepage.

Among our current work is CHARMED, the Comparing Hypertension Remote Monitoring Evaluation Redesign project, which aims to enhance hypertension outcomes in safety-net health care systems through a multi-site, cluster randomized trial. Funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), the study anticipates variations in engagement and adoption across health care systems, race/ethnicity, and language, seeking to address disparities in hypertension control.
