Kelsey Engstrom, MSc

Kelsey Engstrom has over five years of experience working with criminal justice systems nationally and internationally. She has evaluated in-prison programs across CDCR state institutions, lead Wraparound teams inside juvenile detention centers, and managed substance use treatment contracts for system-impacted individuals. Her research focuses on best practices in detention environments by examining the potential impact of prison environments on the experienced wellbeing of correctional officers and incarcerated individuals. With a Master of Science (MSc) in Comparative Criminal Justice from Leiden University in the Netherlands, Kelsey is a strong advocate for looking beyond borders to better understand criminal justice challenges and solutions.
