Anika Kalra, MS

Project Manager

Prior to joining BHHI, Anika worked at the Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS) as a Program Manager. Anika worked with San Francisco Department of Public Health on the city’s COVID-19 response from 2020. As Training Manager, she helped train hundreds of city and community-based employees activated to work during the pandemic. She also worked with the California Department of Public Health to help strengthen capacity of local health institutions across the state. Aside from pandemic work, Anika worked on a large scale Bill and Melinda Gates funded nurse mentoring program in Bihar, India. She conducted monitoring and evaluation to understand the impact of simulation trainings on obstetric and neonatal care. Finally, Anika was the Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at IGHS. Her passion lies in increasing health equity through policy change and community-led practices centered on anti-racist and inclusive principles. She is very excited to work with the incredible team at BHHI and CVP! Anika holds a Masters degree from UCSF in Global Health.
