Research Project Analyst
Prior to joining the CVP & BHHI, Amy's background primarily centered on providing direct services and ensuring the delivery of quality health education and promotion within disproportionately underserved communities. Driven by a commitment to deliver culturally and ethnically appropriate best practices to eliminate health disparities, her career in health education led her towards a path in program planning and implementing quality improvement strategies to increase access to healthcare services within communities of color. Throughout her experience she is guided by holistic approaches and strategies that achieve and promote social advancements within diverse communities. A native Spanish speaker and daughter of immigrant parents who migrated from México, Amy was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She received her Master of Public Health from The George Washington University, Milken Institute School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
