WELCOME TO THE 2019 NGA WINTER MEETING!

As chair of NGA, I invite you to join governors from across the country in Washington, D. C., at the Marriott Marquis, Feb. 22–25. The Winter Meeting offers a unique platform for governors to discuss important issues facing the country, and an opportunity to share the innovative solutions happening every day at the state level.

The NGA Winter Meeting will focus on some of the most pressing issues facing our nation and what’s ahead for states in areas such as workforce, education, health care, energy, tax reform, and cybersecurity.

My NGA chair’s initiative, “Good Jobs for All Americans,” highlights innovative actions governors can take to connect workers to good-paying careers both today and in the future. Governors across the nation are contributing solutions.

Throughout the weekend, governors will hold meetings to discuss the crucial issues states face, including the state-federal partnership. Those meetings include open plenary sessions and committee meetings, as well as closed-door private meetings for governors only.

NGA Vice Chair Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and I look forward to seeing you in our nation’s capital.

Montana Gov. Steve Bullock
2018-2019 NGA Chair
