Lucia Pacca received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Milan, Italy, in 2017. After graduating, she worked as a post-doctoral research fellow for the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, focusing on the impact of economic crises on environmental quality. Since the beginning of her career, she has worked on a wide variety of research topics, including the determinants of sanitary and phytosanitary standards, the political and economic forces affecting environmental policies, the effects of globalization on industries’ competitiveness. Lucia is passionate about data analytics and statistics, and loves telling stories with data. She has experience coordinating the dissemination of research projects, and strongly believes in the communication of results to different audiences. Above all, she has the goal of contributing to research projects resulting in a social and policy impact. For this reason, she is excited to start working at the Centre of Vulnerable Population researching health communication and health disparities.
