Jillian Kadota is a Research Data Analyst with the Pulmonary Division at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. She works with Dr. Adithya Cattamanchi and Dr. Priya Shete on research studies to evaluate new tools and strategies for improving diagnosis, management, and prevention of tuberculosis in high risk populations both internationally and domestically. She has experience and interest in the use of social protection interventions for improving patient outcomes in limited-resource settings, and at UCSF will continue with this work in order to understand their effectiveness in reducing patient-centered barriers to TB care in Uganda.

Prior to joining UCSF, Jillian lived in Zambia and worked at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), primarily implementing and evaluating interventions to improve outcomes among people living with HIV (PLHIV). Similar to her current work at UCSF, during her time as a Masters student she worked on a cash/food intervention for the improvement of outcomes among PLHIV in Tanzania. Jillian earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and her MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
