George Matta, BA
George Matta is joining DGIM as a research analyst working with Neda Ratanawongsa on the effects of electronic health records (EHRs) on health communication and clinician/staff stress. George graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Public Health. He has worked with Community Oriented Correctional Health Services (COCHS) on a Pew-funded study about healthcare services across county jails and prisons to assess disparities in quality of care, and has supported Lean Transformation efforts at Sutter Health East Bay Medical Foundation. He received the "Joy Award" as an AmeriCorps Jumpstart early childhood educator in Oakland, and is fluent in Arabic and proficient in Spanish.
