Feb 06, 2017 CVP core faculty member Alicia Fernandez published an editorial in this week's JAMA Internal Medicine on the current state of undocumented immigrants' access to healthcare in the U.S. Her editorial makes clear that "the wide variation in local and state policies vividly demonstrates that access to care for undocumented immigrants is driven by politics, and not by cost consideration or concerns for public health." Feb 08, 2017 CVP founding director and core faculty member Dean Schillinger, has been named one of the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation's 2017 Heroes & Hearts Awardees, which recognizes extraordinary San Francisco Bay Area heroes who exemplify the “go above and beyond” spirit of the Foundation and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Dean will be honored at the Foundation’s annual Heroes & Hearts luncheon on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at AT&T Park.
